Acerbis was founded in 1973 by Franco Acerbis in Albino, in the province of Bergamo, Italy. It began by making motocross fenders and plastic parts — and grew, over half a century, into a global sporting-goods company.
In 2023 the company celebrated 50 years. It remains family-run, today led by CEO Guido Acerbis, with its headquarters still in Albino, more than 260 employees, distribution in the UK and the USA, and a production unit in the Czech Republic.
Acerbis now works across three divisions — Motorsport, Sportswear and OEM. It's the Sportswear division — which makes football kits, teamwear and match balls — that supplies Rayners Lane FC.
From the plastics that protect riders on a motocross track to the shirts a Harrow community club runs out in on a Saturday afternoon, it's the same Italian family firm — and the same eye for the people who actually wear the gear.
